Now Open Near Meridian Hill Park: Seven Reasons
Enrique Limardo’s new restaurant is called Seven Reasons, but locals are already finding more reasons than that to return to this hip bistro and cocktail bar near Meridian Hill Park. The space on 14th Street NW that once housed a pizza and pasta spot has been completely renovated, with gorgeous exposed brick, natural light, earth-tone decor, and a well-appointed patio.
The menu is heavily influenced by Limardo’s Venezuelan roots, but integrates flavors from across Latin America and the Caribbean. Standout dishes include the yuca fries and the cauliflower tartare from the small plates menu, the wagyu carpaccio and grandma’s fettuccine from the medium plates, and the duck magret and whole fried fish from the entrees. There’s also an impressive cocktail list, including signature drinks made with rum, cachaca, and mezcal. Reservations are recommended, but the bar and patio are first-come, first-served.
