It’s time to start planning your Thanksgiving Day and what better way to start it than a race? The SOME (So Others May Eat) Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger is back for its 18th annual event this year and they’re expected to draw in over 8,000 people! The best part? A major focus of the race is giving back, which is such an important part of this holiday. SOME’s mission is to help the poor and homeless in the Washington, DC area and proceeds from the event go towards supporting this mission in the form of food, health care and clothing for those in need.
Registration for the 5K is now open. If you’d like to be a timed runner registration is $40, if you’re just going to run for fun or if you’d like to support virtually you can register for $35. If you have a little one under the age of 10, they can also participate in the Little Turkey One Mile Fun Run as well! Give back and start your turkey day on the right foot – literally!
